Dougal Wilding

Our winner this month is Dougal, a very special happy smiling 16 month old fox-red Labrador Retriever nominated by his owner, Julie Wilding.

Dougal started to smile soon after Julie picked him up a 7 1/2 weeks old and is a complete softy who greets everyone with a big grin and a waggy tail.

The main reason for Dougal's nomination is that Julie has recently had to battle with breast cancer and feels that Dougal's licks, cuddles and happy smiling face helped her tremendously throughout her treatment, willing her out of bed every day and bringing happiness at her lowest times. Thankfully Julie is now in remission and says she loves Dougal to bits.
